Beaches

Rehoboth Beach

Fenwick Island State Park

• Ocean City Beach

• Location: Along the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean City.

State Parks

Cape Henlopen State Park

• Location: Lewes, DE

Delaware Seashore State Park

• Location: Rehoboth Beach, DE

Trap Pond State Park

• Location: Laurel, DE (inland)
• Although not a beach, Trap Pond is part of the larger Delaware coastal ecosystem and offers canoeing, kayaking, and hiking around its serene pond. It's 
• also home to Delaware's northernmost bald cypress swamp, making it unique in the region.

 

Assateague Island National Seashore

• Location: Just south of Assateague State Park, along the Maryland and Virginia coasts.
• This federally protected area is known for its unspoiled natural beauty and wild horses. Visitors can enjoy the beach, take guided tours, and explore the diverse ecosystems of the island. The park is less developed than Assateague State Park, making it ideal for nature lovers and those seeking solitude.

Bayside Landing Nature Preserve

• Location: Near Berlin, MD (about 7 miles west of Ocean City).
• A more off-the-beaten-path nature preserve, Bayside Landing offers quiet, scenic views of the coastline and the bay. It's great for birdwatching, fishing, and experiencing local wildlife.
