Thirty years ago, several of Bridgeville’s finest began discussing ways of promoting the town and the agriculture industry that is so prevalent in western Sussex County. After tossing ideas around, this clever group of people came up with …. a festival!!
It would be held in the small town of Bridgeville on the second full weekend in October, that includes a Friday. Now, what theme would best represent Sussex County and in particular, Bridgeville? TRUE BLUE JAZZ Inc. (TBJAZZ), is an Independent Jazz Festival. We are a recognized 501(c)(3). Conceived and produced by Eddie Sherman and Peggy Raley, 2023 celebrates our 11TH YEAR honoring America’s most original Art Form….Jazz!
TRUE BLUE JAZZ is focused on “Straight Ahead” or “Mainstream” Jazz, largely featuring songs of the Great American Standards Songbook from 1900 to present day. From the birth of the Blues and Dixieland Jazz to the popular tunes that became the soundtrack of America, TBJAZZ features innovative interpretation and musical improvisation of these songs arising from American stage plays, radio, television, recording artists and feature films from across this time. The 11th Annual True Blue Jazz Festival returns to Downtown Rehoboth Beach Delaware….& you don’t want to miss a single show! aCAMP Rehoboth 2023 Block Party

CAMP Rehoboth hosts its 2023 Block Party on the second block of Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth, Delaware, on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Local restaurants, caterers, entertainers, businesses, nonprofits and other organizations will all participate. All ages are welcome. Admission is free but donations to benefit the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center are encouraged.
The event is CAMP Rehoboth’s largest annual outreach event. The landmark event returns after several years lost to the pandemic and lousy weather. Performers often include the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus Ensemble, actors from Clear Space Theatre, and renowned drag queens Tamia Mykles, Roxy Overbrooke, and Magnolia Applebottom, among others.
